YWCA schedules trip to Toledo casino

The Van Wert YWCA has scheduled a trip to the brand new Hollywood Casino in Toledo for Saturday, June 30.  Departure will be from the YWCA, 408 E. Main St. in Van Wert, at 7 a.m.  Reservations may be made by calling 419.238.6639 or by stopping at the desk. Cost is $35 per person.

The facility is designed to look like a grand art deco movie house inside and out.  Movie posters and photos of the Hollywood great stars decorate the walls and clothes worn by Ann-Margaret, Elvis and Katie Holmes are on display. The ceilings are high and all everything is on one floor.  The casino has 2,002 slot machines, 60 tables games and a 20-table poker room.

Casino officials expect to draw about 2.8 million visitors each year.
