Matthew Alan Ford

Matthew Alan Ford, 50, of Rockford, died at 8:09 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born April 28, 1962, in Decatur, Ind., the son of Ronald W. and Jacqueline A. (Snyder) Ford, who both survive in Spring Lake, Mich. On October 15, 1983, he married Anna M. (Kuhn) Ford, who survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include seven children; four sons, Dustin, Michael, Joshua and Andrew Ford, all of Rockford; and three daughters, Samantha (Greg) Norris of Celina, and Alexis and Madeline Ford, both of Rockford; two brothers, Jeff Ford of Vernal, Utah, and Brian Ford of Spring Lake, Mich.; a sister, Nancy (Steve) Dalman of Spring Lake, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Rockford, with Father Ken Alt and Father Ken Schnipke officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Celina.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford.
