DARE Fishing Derby dates scheduled

MIDDLE POINT — The seventh bi-annual DARE Fishing Derby will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Middle Point Quarry.

The cost for adults 18 years and older is $50 for both days and $30 for one day; for youths under the age of 18 the cost is $25 for both days and $15 for one day. There will be $50 in prize money for the largest fish by weight and total weight of five fish each day.

Fishing is from boats only and only trolling motors can be used at the quarry. This is one of DARE’s yearly fundraisers, with the proceeds going to purchase supplies for the coming school year.
