War of 1812 ceremony this morning

Isaac Van Wart Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Jacob Stemple Chapter of Daughters of the War of 1812 are planning a ceremony today in honor of the War of 1812 Bicentennial this year.
The ceremony is planned for in front of the Van Wert County Courthouse (in case of rain it will be in the Juvenile Courtroom in the County Annex Building and will start around 11:20 a.m. and end at noon. Mistress of Ceremonies is Joan Stripe, while Common Pleas Court Judge Charles D. Steele will be the guest speaker.
Chaplain for the event will be Dick Elder of American Legion Post 178, while other organizations involved include the Veterans Service Office, American Legion Post 178, American Legion Post 346 in Ohio City, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 in Van Wert.
