Treasurer has real estate tax reminder

Van Wert County Treasurer Beverly Fuerst has announced that real estate tax bills have been mailed and are due Wednesday, July 11.

If a property owner has not received a tax bill they should call the Treasurer’s Office immediately at 419.238.5177. In the case of mailed payments, they must be postmarked on or before July 11 to avoid any penalty.

Fuerst encourages taxpayers interested in a monthly prepay tax installment plan, or to have taxes automatically debited from their bank account each month, to contact her office. Call the above telephone number or email Fuerst at treasurer@vanwertcounty.org for more information.

For taxpayers’ convenience, First Bank of Berne is also accepting tax payments.
