Andrew J. Knippen

Andrew J. “Drew” Knippen, 4, of Fort Jennings, died at 12:16 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

He was born January 20, 2008, in Lima, the son of Andrew and Janelle (Hallard) Knippen, who survive in Fort Jennings.

Other survivors include four sisters, Hannah Knippen, Haven Knippen, Katelyn Knippen and Mollie Knippen; grandparents Ralph and Doreen Knippen of Fort Jennings and Deborah and Bruce (Hallard) Denison of Cloverdale; and great-grandparents Norman and Alice Knippen, Thomas and Carolyn Stocklin and Freda Hallard, all of Delphos.

A sister, Kaydence Knippen; his grandfather, Mike Hallard; and great-grandparents Harold Recker, Josephine Kaufman and John R. Hallard, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 8 that evening, and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
