Carol Cloyce Workman

Carol Cloyce Workman, 72, of Van Wert, died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born June 20, 1940, in Paulding County, the son of the late Lionel Guy and Thelma Adelia (Peterson) Workman. On July 20, 1958, he married Ellen Joan (Davis) Workman, who survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Kenneth C. (Missy) Workman of Lima, Brent A. Workman of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Bruce L. (Karen) Workman of Van Wert; a daughter, Brenda (David) Alderfer of Mentone, Ind.; one brother, Roland (Shari) Workman of Battle Creek, Mich., two sisters, Janet (Bill) Schmidt and Lynda Jo (Dan) Schott, both of Van Wert; a brother-in-law, James Dray of Delphos; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Frederic Guy Workman and Dwendolin Workman; and a sister, Freeda Dray, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Jody Harr officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the funeral home.
