Petra ‘Betty’ Moreno

Petra “Betty” Moreno, 88, of Paulding, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Paulding County Hospital in Paulding.

She was born August 16, 1923, in Ennis, Texas, the daughter of the late Cruz and Concepitione (Hernandez) Trevino. On April 13, 1944, she married Rodolfo “Rudy” Moreno, who preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Abram Moreno of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Frank Trevino  of Defiance; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A son, James Moreno; two brothers, Cruz and Senon Trevino; and two sisters, Tana Rodriguez and Carmen Ruiz, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, where a wake will be conducted at 7 that evening, and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Masses or the Gardens of Paulding Activity Fund.
