Russell E. Rager

Russell E. “Grubb” Rager, 83, of Paulding, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at his residence.

He was born July 26, 1928, the son of the late Edward G. and Laura L. (Geyer) Rager. On February 10, 1951, he married Betty L. (Albert) Rager, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Judy (Terry) Gunderman of Paulding; one son, Russ (Rena) Rager of Paulding; a sister, Isabella Ringler of Paulding; and four grandchildren.

Three brothers, Richard, Kenneth and Glenn Rager; and his stepmother, DeNelda Rager, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Paulding Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. John Dodds and Kim Semran officiating. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery near Haviland.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
