The Lincolnview Local Board of Education met in special session Thursday evening to approve the resignation of teacher Brad Mendenhall.
Superintendent Doug Fries said a special meeting was needed so that school administrators could move forward quickly in seeking a replacement for Mendenhall, who resigned after six years at Lincolnview. Mendenhall’s resignation leaves Lincolnview officials with only a few weeks to find a replacement before the start of the new school year.
In addition to teaching physical education in the elementary school, Mendenhall was also assistant athletic director, assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach and head baseball coach.
After accepting Mendenhall’s resignation, the board went into executive session to discuss personnel matters, with no action taken following the session.
