2012 county fair entry deadline set

The Van Wert County Agricultural Society announced Friday that entries for the 2012 edition of the Van Wert County Fair will close Wednesday, August 1. The deadline applies to all general entries, livestock entries, Senior Fair entries (must be brought to the fair office), and Junior Fair entries (must be made online at www.vanwertcountyfair.com).

The fair office is currently open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon, will sell tickets for the grandstand shows as well as season, membership and Junior Fair tickets.

Those who want to vote for fair directors must have a membership ticket and be a resident of Van Wert County.

Camping permits may be picked up in the fair office beginning August 15. This year’s fair will run from August 29-September 3.
