Hildred Bell Cooper

Hildred Bell Cooper, 94, of Van Wert, died at 6:02 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born May 24, 1918, in Jackson Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Delbert and La Dell (Morris) Snyder.  On July 31, 1938, she married Dale E. Cooper, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Delbert Dwight Cooper of Lawrence, Kan., and Dianne (Dale) Foltz and Roy (Betty) Cooper, both of Van Wert; a brother, Glen (Janet) Snyder of Mooresville, N.C.; eight children; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A daughter-in-law, Marybelle Cooper; two brothers, Ralph and Dewayne Snyder; and three sisters, Opal McCoy, Nondus Ray and Nelia Summersett, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Greg Wack officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at the funeral home.
