Mildred L. Rhinehalt

Mildred L. “Mid” Rhinehalt, 97, of Scott, died at 10:01 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at The Gardens in Paulding.

She was born February 15, 1915, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Clifton and Mary E. (Bartz) Bowersock. On December 8, 1932, in Ada, she married Neil C. Rhinehalt, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1987.

Survivors include three children, Joy (Gene) Hartmier of Clearwater, Fla., Lou Anne Matthews of Scott and Linda Huss Hootman of Cecil; one brother, Larry Bowersock of Van Wert; a sister, Lydia Runyon of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

A brother, Frank Bowersock; and two sisters, Maxine Edwards and Ruth Young, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at the funeral home.
