Pair charged in marijuana grow operation

Two men are being charged in connection with a marijuana growing operation at a Van Wert residence.

Steven Osborn, 50, is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and cultivation of marijuana in the presence of children. Cody L. Osborn, 20, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from a tip received July 24 by the Van Wert Police Department about a marijuana growing operation at 710 Cable St. in Van Wert.

After an investigation, officers obtained a search warrant and found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a marijuana plant at the residence.

Both men will appear on the charges in Van Wert Municipal Court at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 30.
