VW baseball camp dates announced

The Van Wert High School baseball coaches and players will be conducting a fall baseball camp for the upcoming season. The camp is open to players planning to play junior league, Little League, and middle school baseball in the spring-summer of 2013.

Players will need to bring all of their baseball equipment, including baseball pants. Participants will receive a t-shirt on the first day of competition.

Camp will run on Saturday mornings, from August 25-September 29 at Smiley Park. The schedule will include fundamentals training from 8:30-9:30 a.m., with game play from 9:30-11:30 a.m. each day.

The cost of the six-week camp is $50, with checks to be made payable to “Van Wert Baseball.” Send checks to Charlie Witten, 620 Liberty St., Van Wert, OH 45891 (click here for a registration form). Registration deadline is August 10.
