Naomi L. Brady

Naomi L. Brady, 93, of Van Wert, died Saturday morning, July 28, 2012, at her residence.

She was born October 29, 1918, in Wayne, the daughter of the late Clyde A. and Helen R. (Lashaway) Reese. On October 17, 1943, in Wayne, she married Merle F. Brady, who preceded her in death on June 26, 2009.

Mrs. Brady was a former co-owner of Brady Fashions in Van Wert until 1975. She was also a licensed real estate agent and secretary for Merle Brady Realty. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert, and was a past matron, past district president and served as secretary for 10 years for Van Wert Chapter 48, Order of Eastern Star. She was a lifetime member and past secretary of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 178 in Van Wert and had formerly served on the Van Wert Peony Festival Committee.

Survivors include a brother, Karoll E. Reese of Fremont; and two sisters, Marjorie Thaxton of Huron and Beatrice A. Sharp of Wayne.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert..

Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star memorial service to precede the funeral service.
