Carlvin F. Roop

Carlvin F. “Carl” Roop, 79, of Scott, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born October 20, 1932, in Rockford, the son of the late Joseph and Hazel (Sprague) Roop. He married Connie (Stahl) Roop, who survives in Scott.

Other survivors include four children: William (Robin) Roop of Scott, Michael (Cheryl) Roop and Chris Harman, both of Van Wert, and Laurie Roop of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: American Heart Association.

Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
