Jack E. Werner

Jack E. Werner, 86, of Florida and formerly of Delphos, died at 6:17 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Tuscany Inpatient Hospice House in Marion County, Fla.

He was born October 24, 1925, in Delphos, the son of the late Elmer C. and Ann (Laird) Werner. On June 11, 1952, he married Mary K. (Spencer) Werner, who survives in Florida.

Other survivors include a son, Scott E. Werner of Angola, Ind.; one daughter, Susan Leann (Michael) Werner-Osborn of Clermont, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. Angela T. Khabeb officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, where graveside military rites will be performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 26, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
