Cougar golfers win over St. Marys

Van Wert golf information

Led by a two-over-par 37 from sophomore Brandon Hernandez, the Van Wert golf team pushed its record to 3-0 with a decisive win over St. Marys.

Following close behind Brandon were a pair of golfers from opposite teams, senior Jacob Brake of Van Wert and sophomore Carter Bowman of St. Marys, who each had 39 on the day.

Other Van Wert golf scores are as follows: Adam Jurczyk 43, Tyler Turnwald 44, Justin Price 45, and Luke Etzler 46.

The Cougars face an undefeated Elida squad on Thursday at Willow Bend Country Club, starting at 4:30 p.m.
