Photography exhibit in place at Fair

Camera Club members and officers check in many photos and assist exhibitors with their questions. (Photo submitted.)

All four Wassenberg Camera Club officers and three club members were on hand last Sunday afternoon from 1-5 p.m. to accept pictures for the fair board’s photography exhibit.  As closing time drew near, there was concern whether there would be enough hooks to last till 5 p.m., but there were.

A final tally showed that the combined senior and junior divisions had a total of 54 individuals who had submitted 232 photos for judging.

The take-in crew answered questions and made suggestions to all inquiries.

Club members returned Monday evening at 6 p.m. to record the judge’s decisions, place ribbons on winning pictures, and award checks to the best of show in color and black and white in both the senior and junior divisions.  Both divisions have produced a large number of quality images worthy of a careful inspection.  The exhibit will close on Monday evening, Sept. 3.

Club members will return to the Wassenberg Art Center on Saturday, September 8, and Sunday, September 9, 1-5 p.m. to receive entries for the Wassenberg’s 35th Annual Photography Exhibit.  If you still need a prospectus they can be picked up at the Wassenberg Art Center or downloaded from our website.

The Wassenberg Art Center’s hours during exhibits are: Tuesday through Sunday 1–5 p.m. and you may contact the art center at 419.238.6837, by email: info@wassenbergartcenter.org or via our website at: wassenbergartcenter.org.
