GROVER HILL — The Lincolnview cross country teams competed at the Wayne Trace Invitational on Tuesday evening.  For the second straight meet, the Lancer boys took home the runner-up trophy, finishing behind first place Van Wert.  The Lancers were able to place four runners in the top 14: Bayley Tow (fifth), Jeff Jacomet (10th), Ben Bilimek (13th), and Alex Rodriguez (14th).  Rounding out the top seven were freshman Skyler Whitaker and Trevor Neate. Senior Angelo Katalenas came in seventh for the team.

The JV boys were also second in the meet and were led by Travis Lippi, Doug Hicks, and Tyler Brant.

For the girls, freshman Anna Gorman placed 21st overall and senior teammate Taylor Miller finished the race in 28th position.

“I really liked how the kids fought tonight,” said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. “This particular course is one where you have to bring the fight or it becomes a long night very quickly. It was definitely a step forward after such a great start on Saturday.

Coach Langdon said his runners are very excited about going to Columbus Grove this weekend, calling the course one where team members “will be able to run some really good times.”
