Cross Over the Hill sets open house
Information submitted
The new Cross Over the Hill Bible Building at 10922 Ohio 118 will have an open house this Sunday, September 9, from 2-5:30 p.m.
The Cross Over the Hill Steering Committee welcomes all visitors to tour the building, which is located in front of the new Van Wert Elementary School, and also meet teachers, look over the curriculum and ask questions about the program.
The ministry will welcome students in grades 1-5 beginning Monday morning, September 24. Every Van Wert elementary student in those grades has the opportunity, with parents’ signed permission, to attend classes one hour each week for foundational Bible teaching drawn from the curriculum obtained from New Tribes Mission: Building on Firm Foundations – Creation to Christ.
Two teachers, Coralee Campbell and Sarah Hostetler, and trained substitutes Roberta LePage and Rev. Keith Stoller, have been hired by the Steering Committee.
The new Cross Over the Hill building has been renovated to include two large classrooms equipped with up-to-date video playback equipment. In addition, the building houses a conference room/lounge area with a small library, kitchen and two fully equipped, handicap-accessible restrooms. Classroom furnishings were acquired from the former local elementary schools.
