The Lancer boys took home the third place trophy, finishing behind Columbus Grove and Minster, which are both ranked in the top five in the state in Division III.

In the boys’ junior varsity race, Travis Lippi took sixth place overall with a time of 19:26.

“The boys responded well today in a very competitive race,” said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. “The conditions were not ideal, which gave us a chance to show how much fight we have.  Our goal is get better each week.

“We have a long way to go, but there is no question that we are off to a great start,” Coach Langdon added. “The boys will get a unique challenge next weekend when we go to Tiffin and race in the carnival.”
