Econ. Devel. annual meeting scheduled

The Van Wert County Economic Development Group invites the public to attend the annual Economic Development Dinner on Thursday, September 20, at Willow Bend Country Club,

to hear Ohio Department of Development Director Christiane Schmenk speak about the department’s restructuring efforts and the importance of Ohio’s communities and businesses, big and small.

The dinner, sponsored by Citizens National Bank, Central Insurance Companies and Van Wert County Hospital, will also include a community update from Van Wert Mayor Don Farmer and Van Wert County Commissioner Thad Lichtensteiger.

The program will conclude with awards presented to the “Enterprise of the Year” and to the “Economic Development Volunteer of the Year”.

The event begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m., followed by the program, which begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for individuals, $50 for couples and $200 for a table.
