FEMA in town
Local officials met with representatives from the Ohio Emergency Management and FEMA on Wednesday to discuss the application process for seeking reimbursement for expenses incurred during the June 29 derecho windstorm. Several villages, townships and county agencies incurred damage, cleanup costs or took protective action assisting the public that cost over $250,000. Locally. Van Wert City Schools are also eligible for reimbursement costs for opening the local shelter after the storm. At least 75 percent of that amount will be eligible from FEMA for reimbursement.
