VW volleyball team beats Ottoville
VW volleyball information
The Van Wert Cougars were back in action Tuesday night at home when they took on the Ottoville Big Green in a non-conference game.
The first game went to the Cougars by a score of 25-16. Ottoville came back in the second game, but the Cougars fought hard to finish the game with a 25-23 win. The third and final game of the match went to the Cougars 25-19.
The Cougars are now 2-1 on the season and are back at home tonight for their Western Buckeye League opener game with Kenton. The freshmen game starts at 5 this evening.
The Van Wert junior varsity team also defeated Ottoville in two games, 25-12 and 25-22. The JV leaders were Dominique Grothause, who made 10 of 11 serves, and McKenzie Collins, who was 10 of 12 from the serving line. Laundrie Koontz had five kills.
