VW girls’ tennis team beats Defiance

The Van Wert girls’ tennis team downed Defiance 4-1 in Western Buckeye League action on Monday.

“It was a tough road run and I’m happy we beat a touch Bulldog team,” said Van Wert Coach Mitch Price.

The Cougar girls are now 5-3 overall and 5-2 in league play. The team has two league challenges coming up in Wapakoneta and Ottawa-Glandorf.

“It will be a battle,” Price said, adding, “Can’t wait to play those teams.”
