Robert K. Helstad

Robert K. Helstad, 45, of Wimberley, Texas, and formerly of Van Wert, died at 5:12 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born March 10, 1967, in Newark, the son of Maxine (Wallace) Helstad, who survives in Van Wert, and Rodney R. Helstad Jr., who survives in New Jersey.

Other survivors include a brother, Rodney R. (Katie) Helstad Jr. of Spencerville; one brother-in-law, Jeff Weaver of Bristol, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

A sister, Dawn Elaine Weaver, preceded him in death.

Friends and family will conduct a celebration of Mr. Helstad’s life from 4-6 p.m. Friday, October 5, at the YWCA of Van Wert County.

There will be no visitation.
