Sept. 19 was “National Talk Like a Pirate Day” and in concert with this event, Mrs. Tate’s kindergarten class at St. Mary of the Assumption School made pirate costumes. Dressed in their pirate garb, the students were treated by Father Stan Szybka….er “Argh…Cap’n Szybka” -- reading and animating the tale of “How I Became a Pirate” by Melinda Long and David Shannon.
