VWHS 2012 open house announced

Van Wert High School Principal Bill Clifton has announced that open house for students’ parents will be held Wednesday, September 26, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Parents or guardians are asked to meet at 7 p.m. in the high school-middle school commons area for introductory comments by the principal. Following remarks, each of the seven class periods will be held to allow teachers to explain their program of instruction to those in attendance.

Clifton encourages all parents and guardians to attend and stresses the importance of understanding the concept of open house. Questions concerning individual student performance will be discussed with teachers during parent-teacher conferences, which are scheduled for Monday, November 19 (4-7:30 p.m.) and Tuesday, November 20 (from 8-11 a.m. and noon-3 p.m.). Open house is a time for teachers to welcome parents and share their curriculum with the public.

Parents and guardians are asked to obtain a schedule of classes from each high school-age student in order to observe the following schedule during open house:

7-7:15 p.m. – Introductory remarks

7:20-7:27 p.m. – First period classes

7:31-7:38 p.m. – Second period classes

7:42-7:49 p.m. – Third period classes

7:53-8 p.m. – Fourth period classes

8:04-8:11 p.m. – Fifth period classes

8:15-8:22 p.m. – Sixth period classes

8:26-8:33 p.m. – Seventh period classes
