2012 Day of Caring starts this Friday

The United Way of Van Wert County is having its annual Day of Caring Friday and Saturday of this week.

On Friday the blood drive will be held at Trinity Friends Church, the food drive at The Salvation Army and then on Saturday several member agencies will be paired with a business for a project or activity.

The following agencies and businesses will be participating:

• Central Insurance will be helping Wee Care Learning Center from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
• Braun Industries will help out the Buckeye Youth from 9 a.m. to noon.
• Federal Mogul will be paired with West Ohio Food Bank starting at 9 a.m. at Trinity Friends Church.
• Praise Point Church of Willshire will be at Smiley Park with Big Brothers Big Sisters from 10 a.m. to noon.
