12th Pepsi Lady Knight tourney set

CONVOY — The 12fth annual Pepsi Lady Knight Volleyball Invitational is set for this Saturday, September 29, at Crestview High School in Convoy. The field features eight teams that will compete for the championship. Matches begin in both gyms at Crestview at 9 a.m.

The admission price for the entire day is adults $5 and students $4.

The teams that are coming include two state-ranked programs in the latest Ohio coaches’ poll and four teams that currently sport winning records (click here for a tournament bracket).

The first matches of the day feature Crestview (8-4) against Celina (6-6) at 9 a.m. in the high school gym and Toledo Edison (6-6) vs. Ottawa-Glandorf (10-3) in the middle school gym.

The second matches will showcase Norwalk St. Paul (No. 1 in Division IV, 11-0) versus Old Fort (2-10) in the high school gym. Marion Local (No. 4 in Division IV, 9-2) will compete against Fort Recovery (3-8) to complete first round action in the middle school gym.

This is a highly anticipated volleyball invitational in Northwest Ohio.  Each team will be participating in three matches and the championship game will be played at approximately 1 p.m. in the high school gym.
