Arnold D. Emerick

Arnold D. “Pood” Emerick, 80, of Ohio City, died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

He was born May 30, 1929, in Ohio City, the son of the late Doyt Philip and Maude Marilla (Brubaker) Emerick. On April 8, 1956, he married Dixie (Clouse) Emerick, who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Robin K. (Charles) McConn of Ohio City and Shelley D. (Rod) Emerick-Erickson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and one granddaughter.

A brother, Robert B. Emerick; and one sister, Anna Mary Clouse, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 1, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at the funeral home.
