Market on Main to host evening event

Main Street Van Wert information

The Market on Main in Downtown Van Wert meets every Thursday morning from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. This week, however, the vendors will be adding a special Evening Market on Friday, September 28, from 4-8 p.m.

Vendors and coordinator hope this evening event will allow even more of the community to come downtown and take part in the Market on Main before the end of the season.

“The Market has been a great venue for both vendors and shoppers,” said Vicki Schulte, market coordinator. “The clientele, both sellers and buyers, has grown weekly with nothing but positive things to say.”

Those who visit on Friday will find one-of-a-kind creations, produce, baked goods, home and decorator products, unique jewelry, boutique items, and much more.

Market on Main is an outdoor marketplace made up of individual vendors selling their home grown, handmade, or quality direct-sell items to the Van Wert community. Began earlier this summer, the market meets weekly and showcases new and unique items, crafts, and produce along the sidewalk in front of the Van Wert County Courthouse.
