Crestview v-ball team defeats Allen East

HARROD – The Crestview Lady Knights traveled to Allen East Thursday and brought home a Northwest Conference victory in straight games, 25-22, 25-16 and 25-21. Crestview is now 10-4 and 5-1 in league play.

Crestview’s junior varsity team was defeated in straight games.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday morning, as they host the Lady Knight Invitational volleyball tournament. Crestview will face Celina at 9 a.m. Saturday to open to tourney.

Leading the way on Thursday were the following:

Serving – Mackenzie Riggenbach, 15/15 with 4 aces; Mekale Clifton, 14/14 with 1 ace; Courtney Trigg, 10/10 with 1 ace; Tianna Rager, 8/8 with 2 aces.

Hitting – Kirstin Hicks, 14 kills; Clifton, 9 kills; Trigg, 5 kills; and Megan Hartman and Haley Helm, 4 kills each.

Setting – Riggenbach, 17 assists; and Helm, 15 assists.

Digs – Rager, 18 digs; and Hicks, 13 digs.

Blocking – Trigg, 3 stuff blocks.
