Come and join the fun on Wednesday, October 3, when the presidents of three local financial institutions get taped to the wall.

The action will occur at Citizens National Bank, First Federal Savings & Loan, and Van Wert Federal Savings Bank. For $1 a foot, area residents can duct-tape the bank presidents to the wall.

“This is a fundraiser for the United Way, as the banks are the 2012 campaign pacesetter,” said R.J. Coleman, this year’s United Way campaign chair. “The banks have been doing different activities for the past couple of weeks.”

Coleman noted that the banks have been having popcorn sales, hot dog and bake sale, raffles, and penny wars during that time.

“The banks have really stepped up to the plate,” Coleman added. “They are having a lot of fun, and the community will be the winner.”

The taping starts at 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for Brian Renner at First Federal Savings & Loan, while Gary Clay at Van Wert Federal will be taped from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.  Citizens National Bank’s Pat Ryan will be taped, beginning at 11:30 a.m., with no ending time set.

Coleman asked area residents to come out and support these fun events.
