Chamber holds 4th Coffee event

Approximately 30 local business people gathered Friday morning for the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce’s fourth Chamber Coffee held at Willow Bend Country Club, sponsor of the event.

Those who attended received an economic development update from Van Wert Mayor Don Farmer, as well as some information on Chamber perks at Willow Bend by Edd Buhl of Central Insurance Company, owner of the country club, and Denise Benich of Time Warner Business, who spoke about benefits in being a business customer of the cable firm.

Joe Forkin, a representative for Ohio Treasurer and U.S. Senate candidate Josh Mandel, also spoke briefly on Mandel’s campaign to win the seat currently held by Democrat Sherrod Brown.
