Barbara A. Nosek

Barbara A. Nosek, 79, of Rockford, died at 7:25 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert, where she was a patient.

She was born March 12, 1933, in Hammond, Ind., the daughter of the late George Barna and Barbara Kaschak. In May 1958, she married Eugene Edward Nosek, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1961.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Rauch of Rockford; two sisters-in-law, Elennor Barna of Westland, Mich., and Bea Nosek of Mendon; and a granddaughter.

Her stepfather and adopted father, Matt Samboric; a daughter, Ann Jackson; fourt brothers, George, Joseph, John and Jim Barna; and two sisters, Evelyn Shafer and Mary Barna, also preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 3, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Father Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Celina.

Calling hours are Thursday, November 1, at Malburg Funeral Home, 11280 32 Mile Road, Bruce Township, Romeo, Mich., and from 3-8 p.m. Friday, November 2, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home.
