Christmas Garden

WINTER WONDERLAND — The Christmas Garden — best known as the Children’s Garden at other times of the year — got its official opening last night and hundreds of people came out to ooh and ah over the light display created and sponsored by Van Wert resident Jim Clay. Master Gardener Louise Hartwig flipped the switch that transformed the Children’s Garden into a Christmas fantasyland. Those who attended were treated to cookies and hot chocolate — while they lasted — and Santa and Mrs. Claus were also on hand to greet the many youngsters  who attended with their parents.
