Entrepreneurial Fair kicks off contest

The fourth annual Van Wert County Entrepreneurship Fair held Saturday, November 10, at Vantage Career Center was a success, thanks to many area professionals and enthusiastic participants.  This event served as the kickoff for the second annual Business Plan Challenge, a program where individuals can attend classes and receive counseling to create a business plan eligible to win up to $2,500 in business development funds, a Chamber of Commerce business membership and additional counseling services through Wright State University Business Enterprise Center.

Classes will cover topics such as Business Plan Basics, Marketing Plan Creation, Cash Flow 101 and Funding Sources, and will be offered about every two weeks through the month of January, with award presentations to be in early February 2013.

Business Plan Basics will be on Tuesday, November 27, at 6 p.m. in Van Wert City Council Chambers, and will also serve as the deadline for participants to sign up. There is a simple half-page form to be completed and submitted by end of that class.
