Phyllis Mae Feasby

Phyllis Mae Feasby, 70, of Payne, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born June 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Russell and Viva Mae (Sommers) Fry. On August 5, 1961, she married Wayne E. Feasby, who survives.

Mrs. Feasby was employed as secretary-treasurer and bookkeeper of Feasby Farms Inc., was a member of Payne Church of the Nazarene, a member of the church board, Missionary president, a Sunday School teacher and sang in the church choir.

She was a member of the Paulding County Republican Party, Paulding County Farm Bureau, Gideon Auxiliary, McGill Trio, and Marion (Ind.) College soccer team. She enjoyed horse breeding, flower gardening, bird watching, singing, her dog and her horse. She also enjoyed sewing and watching children and grandchildren show horses and play basketball.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Rex (Laurie) Feasby of Payne; one daughter, Joan Hughes of Payne; five granddaughters, Bethany, Kelsey and Katelyn Hughes, and Sarah and Brenda Feasby; and a sister, Dorothy (Al) Gibson of Florida.

Two sisters, Elouise Link and Doris McMillen, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, at the Payne Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Mike Harper officiating. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery in Payne.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at Den Herder Funeral H Home in Paulding, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
