Richard P. “Rick” Bogart, 74, of Van Wert, died Sunday, November 18, 2012, at his residence.

He was born January 18, 1938, in Lima, the son of the late Ewing Paul and Hildegarde Elizabeth (McNamara) Bogart.

Mr. Bogart retired from Central Mutual Insurance Company in Van Wert. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, and a graduate of St. Rose High School. He loved fishing, golf and his cats. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include five children, Debra Laudick of Van Wert, Timothy Paul (Stacey) Bogart of Lynden, Wash., R. David (Lisa) Bogart of Westlake, Linda (Mike) Kennaw of Lynden, Wash., and Mary (Damon) Yackey of Van Wert; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen (John) Truesdale of Cridersville.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima, with Father David Rose officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima.

Calling hours are from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services in Lima.
