Area toddler’s death being investigated

CELINA — Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced Monday morning an investigation into the death of 3-month-old Alivia Fraley of Celina.

According to the sheriff, Mercer County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call at 4:20 p.m. Friday, November 23, from Jordan Fraley, the baby’s father, stating his daughter was unresponsive.  Deputies and an EMS squad from the Celina Fire Department responded.

Alivia was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, where she was pronounced dead.

Deputies are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the child. As part of that investigation, deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant to search the mobile home where the Fraley family resides.

The case remains under investigation at this time.
