James Michael Konopka

James Michael Konopka, 56, of Paulding, died Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Defiance Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 1, 1956, in Paulding, the son of the late Michael P. and Emma Elizabeth (Russell) Konopka. On June 11, 1997, he married Loraine M. (Emens) Konopka, who survives.

Other survivors include five brothers, Robert (Deb) Konopka of Bluffton, Thomas Konopka of Monroe, Mich., William Konopka of Belleville, Mich., Ralph (Sue) Konopka of Wayne, Mich., and Richard (Joyce) Konopka of Flemingsburg, Ky.; three sisters, Kathryn Dorsett of Colmesneil, Texas, Martha (H. Greg) Evans of Fairfield, Calif., and Barbara Konopka of Paulding; and many nieces and nephews.

A sister, Dorothy M. Konopka, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be at a later date.

Calling hours are an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: American Diabetes Society or a charity of donor’s choice.
