Community Christmas service planned

The Van Wert County Ministerial Association will lead the way in challenging local citizens to keep Christ the focus of Christmas during the annual Community Christmas Service at Trinity Friends Church this Sunday, December 2, at 6:30 p.m.

Pastor Steve Savage and the congregation of the church, located at 605 N. Franklin St. in Van Wert, welcome area residents to join them in this annual celebration ushering in the Christmas season. The theme for the service, “Helping Our World See Jesus At Christmas This Year”, will feature participation by nearly a dozen area pastors.

The worship team from Jennings Road Church of Christ will lead congregational singing, and Trinity, a beloved local Southern Gospel trio, will add special music.

The Van Wert Pregnancy Life Center will be the recipient of a free-will offering taken during the service. The Ministerial Association welcomes area ministers to join them for a monthly luncheon meeting held the first Thursday morning of each month at 11 a.m. for prayer, and 11:30 a.m. for lunch and a business meeting in the Van Wert County Hospital Conference Room A.
