Rosa Ellen (Quellin Thompson) Partin

Rosa Ellen (Quellin Thompson) Partin died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born August 23, 1925, in Ewing, Va., the daughter of the late John and Ellie (Goshie) Quellin. In 1938, she married Hymn R. Thompson, who preceded her in death in 1956. In 1975, she married Milford J. Partin, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include four children, Arthur (Betty) Thompson of Cloverdale, Ruth (Larry) McMinn and Leona Stevens, both of Ohio City, and John (Margie) Thompson of Grover Hill; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren (with one on the way).

Three children, James, Bobby and Harry Thompson; a sister, Liza Jane; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastors Joe Weiss and Paul Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
