Kenneth David Linton

Kenneth David Linton, 65, of Van Wert, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born April 5, 1947, in Van Wert, the son of Lewis M. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Lauck) Linton, who survive in rural Van Wert. On June 26, 1971, he married Judy (Christian) Linton, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son, Matthew (Tara) Linton of Van Wert; one daughter, Jennifer Linton at home; a sister, Rosemary (Larry) Ingle-Murphy of North Carolina; and one grandchild.

A sister, Vicki Linton, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 1, at Kingsley United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County, with Pastor Anthony Perry officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honor guards of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Thomas Edison School or the American Cancer Society.
