Roger J. Tomlinson

Roger J. Tomlinson, 83, of Van Wert, died at 7:54 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born February 17, 1929, in Ridge Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late John and Mary (Tribolet) Tomlinson. He married Carroll (Zinsmeister) Tomlinson, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two children, James (Marilyn) Tomlinson and Julie (Jeff) Buggle, both of Van Wert; a brother, Dean Tomlinson of Van Wert; one sister, Phyllis Lininger of Van Wert; a sister-in-law, Lou Tomlinson of Van Wert; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dennis Peters officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 30, at the funeral home.
