Lady Knights win game at Tinora

TINORA — The Crestview Lady Knights traveled to Tinora Thursday night for the first time in school history and handed the Lady Rams their first loss of the young season, 59-55.

After trailing by 4 points to start the second half, the Lady Knights exploded for 29 points in the third stanza to take a 5-point lead, 49-44, heading into the final period of play.

The Lady Knights then held off a late charge by the Lady Rams in the fourth quarter by hitting key free throws down the stretch.

Freshman Emily Bauer led Crestview in scoring with 22 points, while Lindsay Motycka added 11 points for the Lady Knights and Kirstin Hicks had 9 points for Crestview (click here for a boxscore and more statistics).

The Lady Rams fall to 2-1 on the season, while Crestview moves to 2-1 on the year and will be in action again next Tuesday when the Knights travel to Parkway to face the Lady Panthers, starting at 6 p.m.
