Jury acquits city man of theft charges

A jury voted to acquit defendant Allen McMillen on charges he helped steal a pickup truck from Spoor Excavating of Van Wert.

The verdict was handed down on McMillen, 28, of Van Wert, after a two-day trial held in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court and presided over by Judge Charles D. Steele.

Attorneys in the case were Assistant Prosecutor Martin Burchfield and defense attorney Scott Gordon.
